Californian native, Texan transplant, and now New York resident, Jone is a Taiwanese American illustrator who works with whatever he can get his hands on. From watercolors to abstract acrylic art, his work covers a wide variety of mediums and themes, with a focus on psychedelic pop art and scifi. In addition, he is an economist and data scientist who builds time series models for a living. With this piece, Liberty de Milo (a combination of the Statue of Liberty and Venus de Milo), Jone wanted to create something that captured the 2020 New York spirit: how something that is broken can still be beautiful.
